God's Character, My Example

LIFE QUESTION: Who should be my model of honesty?
BIBLICAL TRUTH:  You can model your honesty and integrity after God because honesty and faithfulness are aspects of His character.
BIBLE PASSAGES:  Joshua 21:43-45; Hebrews 6:13-20
KEY VERSE: Joshua 21:45
BIBLICAL SETTING:  Joshua emphasized that God had been good to the people of Israel, fulfilling every promise He had made. The writer of Hebrews echoed this point, emphasizing God’s faithfulness and trustworthiness.
The main points of the Bible study
1.      God Keeps His Promises (Josh. 21:43-45). The Lord kept His promises to provide the Israelites their own land, to protect them, and give them peace. Nothing that God had promised the people remained unfulfilled. God has made many promises in His Word and will be faithful to keep them.
2.      God is Trustworthy (Heb. 6:13-20). Abraham trusted God because he knew that God could not lie and that integrity was part of His character. God fulfilled His promises to Abraham in His time. We can trust God to keep His promises to us because He is trustworthy and unchangeable. We must be patient because God’s promises will be fulfilled in His timing.
Who do you trust the most?
How did they earn your trust?
The quality of a promise is based on the character of the person making it.
We can always depend on God to keep His promises. His character is completely trustworthy, and we can model our lives after Him.
God can be completely trusted to keep His promises all the time.
The following are some of God’s wonderful promises.
1 John 1:9
Is. 30:21
Is. 41:13
Heb. 13:5
Jer. 29:12
Jer. 29:13
Jer. 33:3

On the basis of your character and integrity, would you be considered gold or garbage?
God lives in you and desires to shape you to be a person of character and integrity or in other words a person of GOLD.
Allow Him to do His work in your life.
